3Small, light, but drops out too frequently  Aug 14, 2008 By Stanley O. Chang "stan1911"
Small, light, and has a latch that keeps it in place. Takes power from my Iphone. I use it listening to audio books with my Motorola S9. Draws down the battery on my iphone but outlasts the battery on my S9. Main bug is that the audio drops out ocassionally and drives me nuts when it interupts the story line in audio books. At seemingly random periods, tt starts stuttering, followed by intermittant fragments, then nothing coming thru and eventually resumes streaming after about 1 minute.
Pluses are its small size and locking catch that keeps it securely attached. While I can plug it in without removing my iPhone from its Piel Frama leather case, the case docking cutout is not large enough to allow the locking catches to engage. Phone calls can be picked up while streaming audio. The stream is interupted momentarily, but resumes when the phonecall is answered. I don't think the caller can hear the streaming programming, but I bring the ipod player app up and pause playback so the streaming audio isn't playing over my telephone conversation. I paired it once with my Moto S9, it pairs up to my S9 in a few seconds after I turn on both devices.
Works fine except for the drop outs, which, is still with me after 2 months of use. If I had it do do over, I'd buy the Sony plug in ipod unit as reviewers reported the Sony does not drop out like "other" units.

4Works well, missing a feature  Mar 05, 2009 By D. Jason Spruance "Family Man"
This product works well with the iPhone. When you connect it, you have to tell the iPhone not to enter Airplane mode but that is no big deal. I get the occasional drop out as other users report, but it appears to me to be related to accidentally bumping the transmitter. It's usually about a second long and is no big deal for music although I can see it being a problem for audiobooks and podcasts.

Nothing is perfect, and there are a few gotcha's. The transmitter works fine with what ever unit I pair it with, but it appears to support only 1 pairing. By this, I don't mean simultaneous parings, I mean one pairing total. I have some stereo bluetooth headphones and I have a set of portable bluetooth speakers. If I want to switch back and forth, I need to repair the devices. I tested the Sony bluetooth transmitter that has the cord connection to the headphone plug and it allowed me to pair with multiple devices so I could easy switch from speaker to headset.

The other gotcha is in the fact that it works not on the headphone jack but the dock port on the iPhone. This is good because the audio quality is better since it is all digital, but you cannot control the volume from the iPhone. So if you are listening to something with low volume in a load environment, you can only get so much volume out of it. Like I said though, the quality is better and I get no distortion like I did with the Sony transmitter when I would crank up the volume.

Other than that, it works really well. The range is more than 30 feet and the audio quality sounds good. I am happy with it.

4Good  Jul 30, 2008 By Carlos De Vincenzo "Charlie"
It's really a satisfaction to enjoy listening to music on my iPhone without being attached to a headset with cable. The mix between iPhone, SRS-200BD and Motorola S) is excellent. The Only thing I can say is that sometimes the connection is lost and the music kind of jumps.

5iPhone Missing Link  Feb 28, 2008 By S. Frank
This transmitter works as advertised and is the solution for eliminating wires if you have an iPhone. I have not used a wired headset since setting up the SRS-200BD. It also works with my 30gb iPod, I receive signal up to 30' when in line of sight. The setup directions could be more detailed, but the directions in a previous review are accurate. After initial pairing, disconnect the SRS-200BD and pair your headset with your iPhone to receive phone calls if this is supported with your headset. The transmitter attaches well and I have not experienced it falling out as appears to be the case with the Motorola transmitter.
