4Decent quality, works well, could be more solid  Aug 06, 2008 By Howard Stateman "howeird"
This wireless remote is a good alternative to Nikon's expensive and clunky IR sensor kit. It fits in the 10-pin shutter release connection, but the key to line up is difficult to see (black on black). Documentation does not show this either. The unit which plugs into the camera also needs some way to secure it - it's a little big and heavy to be just hanging there. The 4-pin DIP switch for setting the code is cheap and floppy on both units, and should be replaced by a more solid one. Wireless is far better than IR, since you can be anywhere in the room and it will trigger. IR requires line-of-sight. Since it does not use the hot mount shoe (the Nikon IR set does) you can use a speedlight with this.

1Worst camera product I own  Oct 02, 2008 By Hamish Tear "Scotsman"
Don't buy this product. It is very cheap and nasty with incredibly poor design features. 1) Battery in transmitter goes dead within hours if you leave the battery installed (but unit turned off). 2) Getting the battery cover to line up after insterting it is very awkward - I use electrical tape. The unit fires only intermittently after 2 months and the range decreased from 50' to 20' then eventually didn't work at all. It's a piece of junk.

5very good  Nov 30, 2008 By Miguel A. Burruezo
Easy to use, and it works properly. In no more than 1 minute I was using it.
It's a pitty that Nikon D200 doesn't include this inside, but this is a perfect solution.
I carry it on my bag, wherever the camera goes, to take portrait of myself, or to use in loww speed night shuts, to avoid moving the tripod.

Fantastic.

5Wireless remote shutter device  Sep 11, 2008 By Sue Mac
Great product and works fine. Did have to replace a battery right away, but other than that, it is a great way to make my D-300 have a wireless shutter button.
