2Sorry I purchased this unit  Sep 30, 2008
I was looking for a handsfree, eargear free way to make/receive phone calls while in my vehicle and this seemed like the way to go, after reading the reviews. I am disappointed in this unit. I've tried two different earpiece/mike devices and hated those so I thought this would be a great alternative. Unfortunately I have small ears and the eargear always falls out of my ear.

With this unit, I followed the instructions and tried every unused channel on my car radio and all of them delivered the same tinny sound along with tons of static. Perhaps it's the area I am located in. I don't know. My XM radio as well as my GPS work just fine. I know those don't go through my car stereo but my FM reception is very good in my car, so I have no idea why this unit wouldn't work really well. Unfortunately I rarely use this unit because the sound quality is lousy for both myself and the person I am talking to on the phone. I live in a state where driving while talking on the cell is illegal without a hands free device as of this year (Thank God. The people who do that are accidents waiting to happen. My husband was hit by a woman who flew through a stop sign while yacking on her cell and paying no attention to the road) so I was really hopeful this unit would be the perfect answer. Right now if I have to make or receive a call while driving (which is rare) I simply pull over. Maybe when I have the time to mess with this unit I'll try again but for now it's disconnected and sitting in my car console. As far as the iPod adapter, that came with no instructions or packaging. Just wrapped in cello. Being new to this bluetooth thing I really have no idea how to even use/set up this accessory. Now when I want to use my iPod in my car I just unhook the audio plug from my XM radio and hook that into the iPod. Wish I had known I could do that before I purchased this kit with the iPod adapter.

The company who shipped this is excellent and I'd use them again for sure. I'll just be more careful when choosing and purchasing electronics that I don't know too much about from now on.

5Bluetooth Transmitter with adapter  Mar 11, 2008
This is perfect for the iPod Touch.
Sound quality is excellent.
Adapter is great - transmits in stereo and you can charge the iPod while driving using a cigarette lighter or USB port (my car has a USB port so i charge from the usb)
FM transmitter is great too. It has a digital screen and you can choose any radio frequency (many transmitters only have 4 or 5 preset channels to choose from)
This product is great because you can get rid of the cables to connect your ipod to the car stereo and it sounds as good as a CD

5Bluetooth A2DP to FM Lighter Plug  Jan 24, 2008
This is by far the best sounding of these devices. I tried the Parrot and the Venturi Mini and this one sounds much better and is easier to use.

5finnaly something to use with a2dp  Nov 30, 2007
i have not used it yet to answer a phone call but for playing my mp3 music it is the best i have seen. As a truck driver i had try to use several other units or use the speaker on the phone but it just is not loud enough to hear it over the motor noise. With this unit i can adjust the sound on the radio or on my phone so i can turn it up plenty enough to hear it. Thanks again job well done

3$129 is too expensive for what it is supposed to do.  Aug 15, 2007
Supposedly more of these will be available in September at $129.00
However, no one needs to wait. Buy one ANYCOM FIPO (Bluetooth to iPod) for about $60.00 and one Sonnet Podfreq for about $24.00 for either iPod nano or mini or of the other ones and you have a MORE flexible setup than you will get with the above carkit. Not only would you be able to stream your MP3 files from your bluetooth enabled phone but you also would be able to plug in an iPod into it. YES, I have both Anycom FIPO and Sonnet Podfreq for iPod nano and YES I tested it in my BMW using my Motorola KRZR K1. I was able to stream my MP3 from my KRZR to my car stereo. Sonnet produces very strong FM signal and was able to override even some existing stations. But Podfreq needs to be plugged in since Anycom FIPO does not have a battery. You should be able to power PodFreq from your car or your phone (through the mini-usb) and in addition FIPO can be plugged into any iPod accessory like speakers to send MP3s to iPod accessories.
