Usually these things only work on powerpoint presentations, but this one will act as your mouse. The only thing you can't do with it is "click and drag". Otherwise, it's awesome.

I second the review of Richard Seeley. Everything he said I found to be true - it works great, it feels good in your hand, laser pointer is cool, buttons feel good and how they click down you're guaranteed never to go down two or zero slides when you mean to go on to the next one. it also comes with a little tote bag.
the usb connector needs to be slimmed down, i had to unplug my printer to get it to fit on my powerbook g4. also the install guide was a little confusing, it's all windows and there's almost no mention of mac, and for a second i wondered if it would be compatible. i decided to plug it in and find out. i had to guess my way through the menus ("press the shift key once"??), but as it turned out it was very quick and voila, the pointer works. i don't know why these instruction manuals always give you a cookbook list of instructions that a chimp could follow, but if that's what they do, then they should include one for mac.

Bought this some time ago for use with a night-school class that I teach. I couldn't be more pleased! Setup is very simple, plug it in, hold a button down to sync, and you are ready to go.
The remote is a good size to fit in your hand, and it allows me to move around in the room rather than clicking a mouse in the opposite corner from my display screen. You can use it in a strictly presentation mode or as a mouse, I find the presentation mode is exactly what I needed.
This works with PC and MAC, and comes with a carrying case to keep the presenter and receiver together for travel. Perfect for my needs. So far, battery life seems more than adequate, a set will last for months. Highly recommended!

This is a great gadget with all the features we needed/wanted. Our application is primarily in a space where the projector is 50 feet away and 10 feet over head.
