SP800 Smart pointer review Sep 03, 2010 It looks like it wastes batteries too fast. Sometimes harder to pass the slides in a PowerPoint presentation.

Wonderful Jul 14, 2010 My teaching has renewed vitality now that I can roam the classroom with my trusty Satechi remote control. Highly recommend. I just wish that the latest model came, like the earlier one, in silver.

Excellent Laser-Pointer Presenter Apr 21, 2010 The product arrived quickly and the set up was very easy -just plug in the usb(Windows 7 and Mac).
I really like the green laser pointer (not so bright that it is uncomfortable, but it is attention grabbing).
The other features all worked from a pretty good range. The mouse is fine for selecting something from a distance if you want to. The alt-tab feature is is useful as well.
Everyone that has used the pointer has enjoyed it, and I hope it will be used for years to come.

Works Perfectly- and OUTSTANDING service Apr 20, 2010 I tested the distance between the SP800 remote pointer and the computer and got about 40 feet away before there was a tiny lag in the transmission. Anything under 40 feet was instantaneous. I have not gone much further than 40 feet since most of my presentations are within about 15-20 feet from the laptop presentation. I use it with PowerPoint and it works flawlessly. The ability to turn the screen on and off remotely makes this an excellent tool for those of us who teach and facilitate between slides.
The device has a good feel to it, although one button was a bit harder to push than the others, but as it breaks in it is not a problem. The green laser is splendid--much easier on the eyes than red whether in a fully-lighted room or darkened room. The diameter of the laser is likewise more useful in that it is somewhat diffused so it is not painful to look at.
About 2 weeks after receiving it, I received an e-mail from the manufacturer asking me if I was satisfied. I've NEVER had that before! Also, the warranty and return policy from the manufacturer is quite generous. They even have REAL HUMAN BEINGS on their support lines.
I would recommend this to those who need to walk around while doing PowerPoint presentations. Quality and distance are excellent, and the set up with Windows 7 takes about 10 seconds and requires no action on the part of the user. Just plug in the USB receiver (about the size of a small thumb-flash drive) and it's ready. The device also comes with a nice case to carry it, the transmitter, and the batteries (two AAA, which come with the unit). Overall, EXCELLENT. Well worth the money.

So far so good Apr 19, 2010 After using a Kensington wireless mouse product for almost a year with intermittent results (sometimes good signal, sometimes non-existent), it was a relief to purchase this pointer and have it work so easily right out of the box.
Signal is strong and set-up is fast and easy. It really is just plug and go.
I work with many non-computer friendly people and even they have no problem operating this device.
