 If you own the Samsung Epic, you'd better buy this battery! Feb 27, 2011

People who say things are too good to be true are usually right. This battery IS the exception. If you are looking for an extended battery for your Samsung Epic, do your research but I guarantee you'll come back to this one and buy. I did my extensive internet research and found that this Yoobao brand battery was the best available option for the price.
As a past Sprint-Nextel employee specializing in service & repair, I used to see inferior batteries from customers all the time. This battery is anything but. Since Samsung doesn't make an extended battery, I can only recommend this one.
First off, I ordered this battery and it was delivered via USPS almost 5 days before the expected delivery time!
I've had the battery for two days but here is a summary of the first day. After a full charge, I played video games all day, talked for over 2 hours total, and did many hours of internet browsing. After 16 hours since being plugged in, the phone finally warned me that the battery was getting low. SERIOUSLY!
To spend over $200 on a phone that only dies after a few hours of use is unacceptable (shame on you Samsung). Thankfully, I have found a reputable vendor here on Amazon with an outstanding after market extended battery. Though I may not know how long this battery will last (months versus years), at this price, you could afford to replace it if needed.
Again, search Google, Amazon, Ebay, but come back and buy THIS one. You'll thank me later.

Awesome Replacement Battery Jan 16, 2011

I have owned a Samsung Epic for approximately 3 months.. and the only real complaint I have is the life of the standard battery. Typically my battery would last only 7-8 hours and I needed to bring my charging cord with me everywhere.
This battery replacement is pretty incredible. It easily doubled the life of my battery to 16 hours.. and on a couple of occasions (when I did little calling and installed some cool apps) it lasted well over 24 hours. I am not sure if this can be attributed directly to the battery as I have installed the apps "Juice Defender" (battery monitor) and Zeam (program launcher program, which work well on Android. As mentioned, even without these programs my battery life increased 50 percent.. so I highly recommend this product.
I was concerned with the added bulk of the battery pack. While it adds a little bit to the phone, I feel the new battery gives a better area to "grip" the back of the phone and feels better than the protective case I had previously used on the phone.
Overall, great product and would recommend to any Samsung Epic owners.

Truly an awesome upgrade from the stock battery. A single charge lasts me 8-10 hrs (more if I don't use my Epic as a one stop multimedia center..lol) The actual battery sort of "clicks" into place which makes it more secure. The bulk it adds isn't cumbersome either, it only adds more to grab for a better, more secure grip.
My only gripe is the backing. If you drop it or open it too forcefully even once, the tiny notches that keep it in place give way or even break making it a little loose in some corners. Other than that its a great product for the price! Id probably give gorilla gadgets' battery a look before you decide. WWW.gorillagadgets.com

This extended life battery lasts more than 3 times longer
than the old battery that came with the Epic.
And it's much cheaper here than other similar
Batteries.
