5Amazing Player  Nov 18, 2008
This player is amazing! It's very easy to use and navigate through any part of the menu system. The sound quality is great, too. The buttons are kind of small, but you get used to them. I love the click wheel! It's got a nice sturdy feeling to it when you use it and it's very easy to stop rotating because of the ridges. Also very precise, I feel like I'm actually turning the screen. Unlike iPod's, when you get to the bottom of a music list, it'll take you right back up to the top, which is very nice. Also has two settings for volume, normal and high output, which can be changed in the settings menu. Has a nice equalizer, too. The menu button is very convenient as well...one click of it takes you back to the main menu from anywhere, and clicking again takes you back to the previous spot.

Overall, this is a very great deal and an amazing MP3 player! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. Also, 8GB is a lot of room, I didn't even come close to filling it up, and it also has the micro SD expansion slot, which could double the size! I love this thing, sadly my screen got cracked(cuz I was stupid and left it in my pocket when I was working outside) but the backside is very strong. Never even scratched that back panel. I want to get another! :-)

1Sansa e280  Nov 17, 2008
Not a bad mp3 player until it breaks. Mine stopped working after 9 months, in fact went completely dead. amazon are not prepared to honor any warranty. Buy something else.

5it takes a lickin and keeps on tickin  Nov 17, 2008
I cannot believe that this unit, which I have had for 2-3 yrs and love, somehow ended up in my pillow case. When my new lop ear bunny piddled on the pillow, the whole thing went into the wash unbenownst to me...my trusty player was wrapped up inside. I took it out of the washer teary eyed and placed it on the radiator in my sons room. My hubby thought it may still work, I had no hope. A month later tonite I saw it and decided to hook it up to the cable to charge it, and to my utter disbelief, it lit up right away and seems to still have energy and all the music etc on there. AMAZING if you ask me. The thing that may have saved it was the pink silicone case I have on it to distinguish it from my sons. I am in awe.

BUT i love the player and got my sons as refubished lst summer. Great deal and great unit at any price really

5Bargain Mp3 player!  Nov 06, 2008
I love my Sansa E280. I purchased a refurbished unit from "Retail Killers" on Amzon. It was a bargain at $53.00. It's easy to transfer music to it using Windows File Folders, I just copy & paste. I recommend buying a screen protector for it, this will ensure the screen isn't scratched. I use it on long bike rides & the internal battery has lasted 5+ hours on one charge. I also recommend storing it in a protective case or membrane, this will prolonge the device's life. Sandisk's customer support is excellent & you'll be able to speak to a live person, the number is on the Sandisk web site. The site is also usefull for instructions & software updates for your device. WARNING!!! Not all Sansa Micro SD cards work in all Sansa products. Find the model & generation number of your device, contact Sansa support & ask them what card is right for your device. I highly recommend.

4Solid MP3 player, minor quirks..  Nov 02, 2008
While I love this thing and use it freely at the gym, at home, on long road trips and such, there are a few things that are annoying but not enoying enough for me to dislike it. For some reason whenever I connect it to my CPU to recharge, it erases my golists, however I believe if u create your own playlists in your computer it will copy them and keep them in your playlists menu. Sometimes it freezes up for a couple seconds, but again, not a bid deal whatsoever. I would appreciate a quicker way to add songs to a golist, or multiple playlists without use of my computer. Has it is u have to play a song, hold down the circle and wait for it to be added one by one to the golist, which gets erased anyway. Pherhaps charging by the AC adapter would get rid of this problem, but really, you shouldn't have to do that.
But thats it, everything works fine. I have not used the video option yet or used it to store images, even though it likes to copy all my images on my camera through windows media player when I hook it up to charge, until I stop it. My main goal was music and a cheaper altenrative to a Ipod.
