It's what you'd expect for the price... Jul 31, 2008 I didn't want anything too fancy. It's primary use is at my desk at a very low volume. It's perfectly sized for my desk and holds my iPod Touch perfectly. I read about the controls being 'difficult' in previous reviews- not so much difficult as unnecessary. You have to simultaneously push 2 buttons to either raise or lower the volume- and it does so rather rapidly.
The remote is useful once you get accustomed to the buttons differing from the traditional iPod wheel. However, the remote does not always work right away (you may have to push the button several times to get it to recognize).
The sound is perfect at low volumes. It gets rather distorted the louder you get...
All in all its what I expected for the price. I recommend it for anyone looking for a cheap desk speaker and intend to play it mostly at low volumes...
Disappointed Jul 22, 2008 I had hoped I found the right speakers for my iPod Touch, but this device was not it. The sound quality was very poor, and the remote worked if I was standing at the device. I sent it back very quickly.

Is okay. Jun 15, 2008 Is okay for in-home background music while a dinner party finds its way to a generally pleasant conclusion. This device is a perfectly fine way to play an iPod so every guest can admire your musical taste and venturesome attitude. Great sound system? Please rein in unrealistic expectations. It's a couple of plastic disks with grills. It's good for the modest task at hand. You would, for instance, amaze the guy in the airplane seat next to you.

A satisfied customer May 23, 2008 First I give a thumbs up to Emily in Customer Service for all the support she provided to me in getting me connected with this unit. I received the unit in a timely manner. Everything worked find with the batteries and the remote, I though. Later when I tried to use the unit with the AC cord I received destored feedback and the remote stop working.... called customer service and Emily had me right from start to finish. She sent a replacement unit and remote. The unit worked find with the AC Cord and remote however not with the batteries and the remote. I tried everything and just when I was about to give up,... Emily and I connected via telephone. I change the batteries in the unit to Lithium(?) and the unit work fine... remote and all. Satechi has the best customer service I dealt with in a very long time. I did not want to send the unit back because of it size, it portability, and its sound. Also the fact that it uses batteries. This little guy is amazing and I would recommend the unit to others. I recommend using LITHIUM BATTERIES and all should be well. Best of luck and enjoy the unit.
Sounds good, easy to use May 14, 2008 I'm very happy with this product. The sound gets a little distorted at high volumes, but I bought it to use quietly at my desk, so it's not a concern for me. It has a small footprint which works great for me and the remote control is very handy.
