Works great then it died. Aug 10, 2010 This unit works great. I am able to shoot at least 600 pictures but it died after my fourth wedding. So now it is worthless and fifty buck down the drain. I decided to get the Canon Cp-e4 so I would not have to deal with the hassle of having my equipment die on me.

Cheap alternative to a Canon Battery Pack CP-E4 Jul 08, 2010 This item is not compatible with the Canon CP-E4 battery pack. It works like a Canon CP-E4, but the battery compartment is fixed. It does not use a battery magazine for quick replacement of batteries. Neither does it work with or accept the Canon CPM-E4 AA Battery Magazine that the Canon CP-E4 uses. Furthermore, the contacts inside the battery compartment bend after inserting the batteries, and stop making contact with the batteries.
Save yourself the trouble, and buy the real thing. I thought I was saving money by not buying the Canon brand, but ended up having to purchase one after all.

Works fine May 09, 2010 The product is OK as a low cost alternative of Canon CP-4. Since it has a fixed battery compartment, it is not really "compatible with Canon CP-E4".
Of the two items I bought, one was fine, but in the other one the battery slots in the battery compartment were so tight that it was difficult to insert the batteries without them popping out. The seller voluntered to provide a replacement unit, which turned out to be equally fine as the first one. Naturally I am now very happy about the proactive customer service of the seller.
