wrong screw size, not 1/4-20 thread size Jan 21, 2011 By HT
The 1/4-20 thread is the common size for photo equipment. I tried to mount this Shoe cord (Purpose: an extension cable from camera hot shoe to remote flash area) to a Camera bracket, but this cord does not have a 1/4-20 thread (smaller size than 1/4-20 thread), so I could not mount on it. The main reason of this purchase is to set Canon 580EX2 flash away from Canon 7D/60D camera. I bought an additional small adapter to place between 580EX2 and this shoe cord. And glued together. It is not right way to do, but I had no choice to glue this FC-E3 Shoe cord. Otherwise, my flash falls out from a bracket. Function of cord is working. I sent a mail to a manufacture, but no respond from them yet.
