 Don't believe the hype. Aug 29, 2010
Although this unit provides a good value, be warned, the instruction manual is nothing short of terrible. Very poor English. I have still not been able to figure out the settings and do not know which functions are available because of the poor manner in which they are explained. I would not recommend this product. If they fix the manual, it would make all the difference to the enjoyment of the product. Also, the buttons and plastic are of a poor quality and some of the symbols on the body of the unit are so small that you cannot tell what they are.

Hi,i got the timer as expected.In good condition .My buddy wanted this timer to use with his canon set up ,and he seems to be very happy with it (so far no complaints !) should this change I`ll let you Know..

I've had this grip for almost a year now and have had no problems with it on my D90. It really improves the handling of the camera and I love having a vertical grip. I like the additional timer functionality it gives, though I don't use it enough to remember how to make it work. The manual is not very clear, but I can figure it out.
The only issue I have is that the battery door latch is loose and comes open sometimes. I think I could fix this myself but haven't tried. Even if the door comes open the batteries will not fall out because they each have a spring clip, so this is really not a problem.
The overall quality could be a little better, but for the price (especially compared to the Nikon branded unit) I don't feel there is a better value on the market.

I just want to say very quickly that I have not used this product much. However, the double A battery pack has two spring clips that are used to hold the battery pack in and they are very fragile and easy to jam when trying to load the double A pack. The main reason I bought this was for the use of AA batteries as a backup system. Well the first time I tried to insert the 2A battery pack, one of the clips broke, making it almost impossible to use.
I did respond to the seller that the clip had broken, and the seller never got back to me. Also the chinese translated instructions left much to be desired, and at least for me were clear as mud.
Just my humble opinion.

I too was a bit concerned when looking at this as far as other reviews go. I will say this. It fits my camera very well. It works great. The remote I got works with both my camera alone and the grip and it feels just like the Nikon brand remote that I already have. I am happy that the battery door is stored in the grip. The instructions that I received with my grip I really had no trouble making sense of them. overall I am extremely pleased with this grip!
