3Works, but with a few useability problems  Aug 16, 2010
This remote offers decent control for doing time-lapse and long-exposure photography. You can use bulb mode and set the shutter speed using the remote for exposures of up to hours, and you can also do time-lapse by setting the interval between shots and the delay before start (bulb and time-lapse can be used together, for instance for star trails).

There are three issues that I have with it, none of them deal-breakers for me, but be aware:
1. The settings for shutter speed etc. do not persist when you turn the remote off and on again. This is a minor irritation since entering your settings is pretty quick anyway, but if you were unlucky enough to have the remote's battery die while doing time-lapse you would have to scramble to re-enter your settings after changing the battery.
2. The buttons are a little bit hard to press, and it's not obvious without looking at the screen whether you were successful or not. Starting your programmed exposure gives a beep, so this is only a problem when entering settings.
3. The first time I plugged the remote into my camera the connection seemed a little loose and it needed some jiggling before it would consistently do time-lapse. After that, when I used the remote in the field, I had no problems. The plug may have just been a little dirty or tarnished.

For the price I think this remote's quality is a little bit low. For doing long exposures or time-lapse it does get the job done, but it's not perfect.

5Neato  Aug 16, 2010
Bought this for my Canon T2i instead of the Canon brand intervalometer. So far its doing a great job with time lapses. The directions take a little dissecting but doesn't take long to figure it out. Build quality seems pretty good; it's not gonna break unless it gets stepped on or dropped really far. The benefit of this brand over the Opteka is that it actually has an on/off switch. The batteries that were included were dead but not a big deal.

5Great product  Aug 14, 2010
Great intervalometer at an amazing price. I would never pay extra for the Canon one because this one does everything you need.

4Great value for the money  Jul 01, 2010
This is the first remote i have bought to use specifically as an intervalometer and it seems to work great so far. Its a little light and flimsy but as an alternative to spending 3 times the money I would rate it for sure.

4Easy Timelapse  Jun 20, 2010
I purchased the Satechi TR-C remote specifically to try out some time lapse photography. It is very easy to configure. The only negative might be the build quality of the unit. But honestly, for the price and the fact that it functions perfectly, I can't complain. Very happy with the purchase, and it arrived in speedy fashion.
