It supports unique coding for anti-interference and avoiding wrong operation. 3 operations modes: At W mode, the receiver is active, you can use the transmitter to control the shutter or focus. At O mode, the receiver will be a normal remote switch, and it will not consume any power. At L mode, the receiver will lock the shutter for long exposure.

5Best remote shutter release out there!  Aug 25, 2010
If you're looking to go wireless, which you should if you want to be able to be a part of your own group photos, then look no further. Extremely easy to setup and use and fabulous battery life. I have a Canon T2i and tried out a friend's Canon RS-60E3 wired release before going with the Satechi WR-C100, and found that the wired until was too resticting (very short cable). With the Satechi I'm able to step into my own family photo's and have also found wireless very handy when capturing skittish wildlife such as humming birds at the feeder where I setup my camera and Satechi on my deck pointed at the bird feeder and from inside my homw 30 feet away I am able to focus with one button and release the shutter with the other! It's fantastic!!

5Remote wireless camera shutter control  Aug 13, 2010
I am a nature photographer and recently acquired a Satechi remote
control shutter release. This allows me to set up my camera on a
tripod, aim and focus it on a spot where a bird or animal I want
to shoot frequents.I can locate myself some distance away, so as
not to "spook" my subject, and snap the shutter when I see the
shot I want to capture.

The Satechi unit is very well made, functions better than I had
expected and meets my needs perfectly... and at an affordable price.

5Satechi. Wow!  Aug 06, 2010
I got onto Amazon to find a wireless remote shutter release for my Pentax K-7 DSLR. One of the hits on my search was for a unit (WR-C100) from some company named Satechi. Never heard of it. I had a question about the unit so I sent an email to the company on Sunday night. When I got home from work Monday evening the answer was in my email inbox. Wow! You usually wait several days for a response from a company. I ordered the unit from Amazon that same evening (regular $5.00 shipping, not anything expedited). The unit was delivered to my mailbox on Thursday. Wow! The instructions say to charge the receiver before using. The status of the charge is shown by five green LED's on the unit. Five lit LED's means a full charge. I plugged it in and all five LED's were lit. The unit came to me fully charged. Wow! I haven't put it through all the paces yet. I don't know exactly how far the unit will actually work from, but anything will be better than the wired remote (all foot and a half of it) that I use now. The advertised range is approximate 300 feet. I don't see me ever needing that distance. If the thing works for me up to 100 feet I will be happy. It is hard to judge a product before really heavy use, but if the customer service of this company is any indication, it should be a great unit. I'll definitely remember this company and give it good publicity.

5Satechi wireless remote is awesome product  Jul 23, 2010
This Satechi wireless remote was very easy to use and to setup, I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to shoot shots that require no movement. I used it for my 4th of July fireworks and had awesome results. Without a remote the year before I was lucky to get one good picture and this year with it they were unlimited. I also use it around my Koi pond, I have a crane spitter that finches love to come and drink from and with the wireless remote I can setup my camera and remote and take great pictures from anywhere in the house. It definately does shoot through most anything like advertised and has great distance for the type of shooting I do. I did find that if I left the remote on attached to the camera all day just waiting for the perfect shot whenever I walked by that I had to charge the unit in the evening, but wow no big deal it was on all day! When I use it for just a few hours it doesn't even use one bar of charge. So I guess I would have to say that the charge on it is great also. I'm an intermediate Canon digital rebel xti user and I basically use it for nature picture taking and GRANDKIDS. Can't wait until next 4th of July; I missed the grand finale with my remote but it wasn't the remotes fault it was mine. I think I forgot to hold the shutter open long enough. I can see endless uses for this product and again highly recommend it.

5Satechi WR-C100 review  Jul 12, 2010
The price is good, delivery on time, and it turned out to work even better than I expected. With my Rebel XTi on a tripod and preset, it allows me to take shots at wide intervals to get what I want.
