Very cool... wired or wireless! Oct 30, 2008
By W. Caudell Ordered this remote for my alpha 350... as Sony does not offer anything for a wireless option. Very pleased with the unit. Plug receiver into camera... use the transmitter and away you go. Was originally debating whether I "needed" wireless or could get away with just a cabled remote. Cool thing is that this will serve as both. Has buttons on the corded receiver to act as wired remote, step away and use transmitter for wireless. Receiver has built-in rechargeable battery, comes with charger. Very cool... very happy with this set up. Only had a month or so but seems to work great!

Just what I was looking for! Aug 30, 2008
By Michael Burchard I am a beginner with photography. I was working on a project with the camera that I had orginally. I thought to myself, "You know what would be great? a remote 'thingy' for my camera!" So I started researching the interenet to see if this "thingy" even existed. Sure enough, it did, and it wouldn't work with my camera. I decided it was time to get a new camera, and I looked at camera remotes first to make sure that my search for a new camera included compatability with the remote that I chose. I picked the Sony Alpha A350, and it has turned out to be a great camera. The W-F100 is such a cool device. I took pictures of myself, and some friends as well as some nature. It didn't matter where I held the remote, it always responded. I'm already surprised that a "cordless" remote was available. It's such a "no-brainer", meaning that it is super user friendly!
I love it! and it was just what I was looking for!!

Satechi WR-F100 Wireless remote Oct 13, 2011
By Doakes Very pleased with this wireless remote. Works perfectly with my Sony A100 DSLR. Product is well constructed and a breeze to use. Directions are written in plain English and easy to understand. The only drawback is that when you lock the shutter open in Bulb mode for long exposures the wireless part of the remote does not work. I highly recommend this product!

Worked as promised, even after 750 miles of abuse Jan 14, 2010
By Skypilot This review is specifically of the durability of the Satechi camera remote.
I rode 450 miles of highway down and back with the remote in the aluminum panniers of a dirt bike with knobby tires. After the first 225 miles of rain and cold, I road 300 miles of Off road in the NJ Pine Barrens, see [...]. During the rally the remote was left un protected in the tank bag at all times while the camera was in its case in the same tank bag.
During the rally I took I took out the camera, tripod and Satechi remote several times and got some great shots. The tripod was a pretzel by the end of the rally do to the two falls and landing in one bush, you had to be there to see it. At the end of the 225 mile return trip I took one last shot at 28 degrees f with the remote. While the ride turned my tripod into a pretzel and left several pieces of Kawasaki lying abandoned in the woods the remote still worked.
The fact that 450 miles of Knobby highway vibration and 300 miles of off road un-relenting pounding didn't make this thing fall apart is really saying something. The fact that it is still working as promised several months later proves that the unit is well built. The fact that I can shoot pictures of myself riding past my own camera at high speed, well, that's just fun.
If you can pound one of these things harder than I did, have at it. From where I sit this is a very well built piece of electronic equipment and I would recomend it to anybody interested in a wireless remote.

Great Piece for a DSLR Jan 06, 2010

I did not know what to expect when I ordered this with my a900 kit, I used to have the sony cable shutter release. Although it is great but the clutter of cables every where is a nightmare, especially during a heavy traffic shoot. When it was delivered, took it out charged it, after approximately 1 hour the unit was fully charged, used it fully during an extreme sport tournament shoot for my son. It was excellent choice, I loved the fact that I was not standing close to the tripod and from distance I was getting the camera to focus and shoot. The quality of the product is very good, I have yet to use it to its fullest distance. But given my experience I will not be disappointed. I recommended strongly as a replacement for a cord connection. In addition it is good value for money.
