REMOTE SHUTTER CONTROL FOR THE OLYMPUS SP-570UZ Apr 13, 2010
Great wireless remote shutter control. Remote has a focus control button and shutter button. It fits easily in your pocket and is easy to use . Good range on the remote useage. Great for critical still shots and when you want to be in the photo, but not on a timer! Installation was very simple, but they could have offered a way to attach the base unit to a tripod. I just used some tape and taped it to the leg. Nice addition to my camera bag!
 Great gadget for SP550UZ Mar 01, 2010
I've been trying to get close-ups of songbirds using full zoom settings on my SP500UZ hand-held. With the wireless remote, I can set the camera just a few feet from the nest or perch and stay virtually invisible to the birds. I've triggered the remote from approx 25-feet. It does what the manufacturer claims. Only negative is a small bit of plastic trim around battery case broke off on first use. This doesn't effect performance, however.

Works as advertised Oct 01, 2008
I have been trying to find a remote shutter release for my Oly SP550UZ for several months. I bought this product and it works great! I wanted to get photos of my hummingbirds; put the camera on a tripod and tripped it remotely. The only minor observation I have is that the documentation is a little light. But there aren't many controls so just work with it and it becomes easier to understand the written sheet. The remote has several different camera connection configurations. The "J" is for my model. Go to the Satechi website if you have a different camera.
