Sonorix Bluetooth Feb 10, 2010 Having used this product for well over a month, I am very much impressed with its capabilities, specifically, its ease of use, clarity, comfort and convenience. The cons is that the user will have to deal with wires, which makes it cumbersome if you have not found the right configuration. The Sonorix becomes very easy to use once it's set up on your body. I found that, because of the long cord, it's more convenient to drape the excess cord over my left shoulder and down my back with the mic hooked on to my shirt lapel. The two ear pieces drape very nicely around my neck then down my chest on both sides of my neck. Incoming calls can be quickly answered by merely inserting the right earpiece in my ear with my right hand and pressing the answer button with my left. Very convenient! Comfort comes when the earpieces are left dangling either outside or inside my shirt when not in use, but still available for immediate access. The clarity of both incoming calls and stereo music is unmatched, as far as I am concerned. It goes very nicely with my Pandora app for my Palm Pre which I use for hours. A recommendation is that quality ear buds be purchased to use with the product to increase comfort and pleasant sounds. Very good product and highly recommended.
Great unit at a good price Jan 20, 2010 I have a vehicle with a very loud cabin. The noise makes it difficult for callers to hear me and virtually impossible for me to hear them with the iPhone's less than impressive volume. Because I'm a mobile professional I need to talk in my car all the time. I'd considered treatments to soundproof it and even thought about replacing it, but neither option was practical and both were cost prohibitive. So I began looking to bluetooth as a solution.
I have an older Motorola model bluetooth that never worked well. It had a lot of static and callers had a difficult time hearing me. Since I also wanted to listen to music I began to look at stereo bluetooth devices. I considered going all the way with bone conduction to solve the noise problem but thought I'd give this much less expensive stereo bluetooth a try and I'm glad I did.
Pairing with the iPhone works flawlessly. The iPhone doesn't support voice command through bluetooth but you can dial with your voice on the phone and it switches right over to the C3. I keep the C3 clipped to my shirt collar so the mic is close to my mouth. People have no problem hearing me and most callers don't even know I'm on the road, if you can believe it. Volume is fantastic; music can actually be louder than I need it and conversations are plenty loud even in my noisy SUV.
With a good pair of my own earbuds the streaming music from the iPod and Rhapsody apps sounds great. Again, the iPhone doesn't support music navigation from the unit but it's easy enough to grab the phone if I want to change a song. The difference in this "wired" unit over traditional bluetooth units is that it's not hanging on to your ear all the time. If you're not in the car and want to take a call it can be puzzling to figure out just how to arrange the earbuds and still look socially acceptable. Do you leave them around your neck until you want to take a call? Let one dangle and keep one in an ear? I do the latter, and if you tuck the cords inside your shirt right you can still have the earbud in somewhat discreetly.
Can't say enough good things about the C3. You're not going to lay in bed at night with your Jawbone listening to music or radio stations out of one ear but you are with this baby.
Solid Jan 09, 2010 Bought this because I wanted to be able to use any headphones with bluetooth (although there is a set of headphones that comes with it). Having the microphone on it was a bonus (so, i can use it with my phone too). I've used it with an IBM T61p, MacBook Pro, and iPhone. It works just fine.
Pros
Easy to associate.
Easy to increase/decrease volume
Easy to go next/back on songs
Microphone seems to work well (no complaints from people I've called).
Clips on easily.
Don't look at the LCD much but it's nice to have.
Seller followed up to make sure I was happy...nice touch.
Cons
Battery life could be a little better.
Overall, very satisfied.
Glad I took a chance on this one Jan 06, 2010 Let me start by saying, I have never written a review like this one before. Usually there is a flaw with any product that keeps it from getting a 5* rating. This is the exception to the rule. I bought this not expecting much but boy was I wrong!! This is hands down the BEST item I have bought. I bought this to use with a Samsung Behold SGH-t919 when I was doing yard work. When I took it out of the package I was instantly impressed. It is almost weightless. The build quality is fantastic, with a very secure clamping mechanism, making it perfect for a shirt pocket. The buttons are solid and tight with an out of the way on/off switch. So it looks and feels great but how does it work? It took about 2 1/2 hours for the first charge and paired with no issues to my phone and laptop. Good so far, now the instruction manual says "CD quality music", that scared me right away, any company making that kind of claim has got to be covering up for something!! Not in this case, The sound was superb!!! I plugged in my Klipsch x5's and was blown away. I had to turn the volume control down to about 1/2 way to be able to hear comfortably. During a phone call, the caller sounded like he was next to me and said the same for me. There was no issue with skipping, even with the c3 clipped to my shirt under a heavy Carhart coat and the phone in my jeans. About the only thing I can say bad about the c3 is the plastic is a very high polish making it a fingerprint magnet. If you want an off the chart quality product that won't break the bank then this is it. I bought them through Satechi here on Amazon and the service was everything that other reviewers have said.
At last well made bluetooth gadget Dec 28, 2009 Very good quality sound and mic. Pretty easy to use and very easy to reload. For once have I been able to listen to music properly with my Koss Porta Pros.
The clip doesn't hold too well, but I resolved the problem by adding a couple of selfattaching couches into the front of the clip.
A good buy.
