3Great little alternative to Name Brand  Jan 26, 2010
Works great. So far this has been cooking for several time-lapse setups @ 24-72 hours each.
Many different stuff you probably wont use if you are just shooting interval time.
The manual is horrid, but all you need to know is the menu function. The first item i received was DOA, which was happily swapped in a 3 day turn.
Biggest beef is the 'light'- i tend to setup all my time-lapse at night, so i hit the light button, awesome. But,... it only stays on for 3 seconds...Grrrrrrr!

So, great product, but loses a star for the crappy QC and another for the 3 second light.

Added- Yes, this works for the Canon G11- verified and using right now.

5Better than the Opteka  Jan 19, 2010
I bought the equivalent from Opteka but I lost it on a trip to Mexico. So I bought this one as a replacement. I use this with my Canon G10 for time lapse photography. They pretty much do the same function but this one is more compact, has better instructions, has an off switch, nice white light, better finish. Over all I like this one a lot better. Both have a limit of 399 shots specified, but according to the manual this one can take unlimited shots which is helpful. (The opteka could probably do it as well but the manual was very lacking so I dont know. Nice packaging also.

5Great product.  Jan 07, 2010
Got this on the day before Christmas Eve and started using it right away. Easy to use capable device that allows both time lapse, long exposure and delayed pictures. A colleague of mine has a similar time lapse unit from another vendor, but his cost 3 times more, only does time lapse, and does not have the LCD screen. This thing is great.

5Worthwhile Tool  Jan 05, 2010
I purchased this timer specifically for night images with my 350D and it does exactly what it is supposed to do.

Pros: I especially like the "exposing" red LED. It blinks during the exposure, so you know when the sensor is "live". This LED and the audible countdown helps a great deal in the dark. It is compact enough to slip in a jacket pocket. After one trip through the instruction manual, I was able to learn how it works very quickly.

Cons: Would benefit from some kind of clip to temporarily attach to the tripod during the exposure (yes nit-picky, but it would be helpful). When setting the time values, the hours blink first to be adjusted. I would prefer seconds and then minutes and avoid having to cycle through to get down to the seconds. Memory of the last setting before turn-off would be great to add too.

This timer has made doing night images easier than my scatter-brained way of using a wristwatch before. I would recommend this to any night photographer.

4Great product.  Nov 28, 2009
Arrived in no time at all. I feel the user manual wasn't much help but it's easy to figure out how to use it anyway. So far I have used this unit indoors and out and has worked flawlessly. A super great deal considering how cheap it is.
