5Great unit, right price  Nov 05, 2008
Got it faster than expected in just two days! Works great too! Better than a similar transmitter I bought at a major electronics store for higher price and returned it to the store the same day. Also, I really like the portability and no need for cables.

4Works well and can't beat the cost  Oct 31, 2008
I bought this to replace the Griffin itrip with smartscan I had just returned. The smartscan feature was nice, but the darn thing couldn't be heard if it was more than 5 inches from the dash and I was constantly changing channels because most channels -even if free - wouldn't work with the Griffin.
So It was with a great deal of trepidation that I bought the Satechi - at 1/3 the cost I was worried I'd get what I paid for. But in this instance I was in for a pleasant surprise.
You have to seek the station yourself, but the Satechi locks on and give a robust signal. I don't loose it often - on a recent road trip across the desert I lost it each time I passed a big rig on CB, and the city driving can be troublesome as there aren't many free channels in and around LA. But for the cost it performs pretty darn well. Overall I am very pleased.

5Works great  Oct 23, 2008
Works just as advertised for the iPhone for those cars that don't have a aux jack and you don't mind running through the stereo. Be careful with other FM transmitter products - they may work with the iPod, but not with iPhone!

4Well worth it!  Oct 22, 2008
I bought this unit, and it does EXACTLY what it should. I have a 2001 Toyota that has no "line-in" on the stereo. So with my new iPhone 3G, my options were limited. I plugged this thing in and set the station and it worked immediately. There is a small amount of static between songs, but i've found that ALL of these transmitters do that. When the music is playing the sound quality is very good (better than radio, not as good as CD's) keeping in mind that iTunes sound is far from CD quality. Further, it responds to your changes with the EQ settings, both on the iPhone and on the stereo itself.

I would, however recommend that you "level" your music on your iTunes (if you haven't already) so that all songs will play at the same volume. If you don't there can be some volume "surprises".

For the price, this unit is Fantastic. There are some that will find fault with it i'm sure. But those people aren't usually happy with anything in their lives anyway.
