Description

Amazing, small and lightweight but perfectly formed and an essential accessory for any owner of an iPod, iPhone or MP3 player, this ultra portable rechargeable pop-out speaker is perfect for listening to your favorite music when you're on your travels or out with friends and family. With its bottom panel extended out and bright blue power LED indicator, operating this device of 3" in diameter is disarmingly simple. There is only a power switch, an audio cable of about 4" length and a plug which you insert into audio sources such as MP3 players, mobile phones or notebook computers. There are also four mobile phone audio adapters so that you can blast music from compatible phones of brands like Sony Ericsson and Nokia. The speaker also comes with a USB cable for recharging its battery. To pack away the gadget, just push the bottom panel into the capsule. Push the panel again and the base pops out and it enhances the bass sounds. With its digitally-amplified 3.8 watt speaker, 360 sound field and expandable bass system, featuring a range of audio connectors and with up to 6 hours of playback from a single charge, you'll be able to enjoy your music wherever and whenever you want.

4iTour-POP Ultra Portable Review  May 13, 2011 By Highlander1161 "Phil"
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R138TKFCQDRPY1 Here's a simple review of the iTour-PoP Ultra Portable speaker. All in all, it's a great little speaker for $25.00. I would have rated this 5 stars if the manufacturer, Satechi, would have included an extension cord to lengthen the barely 4" one which is attached to the unit.

5Loud !  Dec 16, 2010 By Abe Vigoda "part-time inventor"
Quick Review-
Pros: Pound for pound this is the loudest speaker and has best bass response.
Output is an impressive 3.8 watts which is rare in a package this small.
Comes with adapter for use with Sony and Samsung phones as well as a 2.5mm adapter.

Cons: The cable is only 3 inches so it will be right next to the audio source. It's only a problem if you pick up your phone or mp3 player often thereby lifting the speaker as well.

Thank you.

5Sounds like a stereo.  Nov 30, 2010 By urwarrenout
Very pleased with this little speaker. The difference in sound quality going from your blackberry to this is amazing. The speaker actually does sound like it is in stereo. It is also very loud and crisp. The battery stays charged for a long time. I bought this to use at my desk while studying for school and I must say it is perfect.

5Best in it's class, and I tried them all...  Jun 04, 2011 By Banjo29
I purchased this and four other brands/models because I wanted to hear with my own ears which ones were the best in this micro portable speaker category.
The ones I tried were:
X-Mini Max II Capsule Speakers (White)
X-Mini II Capsule Speaker (Red)
Satechi SD Mini Portable Pocket Speaker
iHome iHM60LT Rechargeable Mini Speaker (Blue Translucent)
iTour-POP Ultra Portable Rechargeable Speaker
I did not include the Altec Lansing iM-237 Orbit Speaker since it is not rechargeable.

Sound quality, on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best of the group, and 1 being the built-in speaker in an iPhone or iPod Touch:
iTour: 10/10
iHome: 8.5/10
Satechi: 7
X-Mini II: 7
X-Mini Max II: 4

The iTour-POP wins it, no contest really. Amazing full sound and low distortion from a speaker this size. It's a little bigger in diameter than the others, but not as tall. Stays put, even at high volume. The next three all sound pretty good, if you didn't hear them side by side with the others, you'd be pretty satisfied with purchasing any of them. These three all suffer from 'walking' across the table at high volume, the bass thumps just make them jump a little with every beat, with the iHome being the worst at that. Not a huge deal, but it could drag itself and your $150 Nano of the counter and onto the floor...
The Satechi is the only one with the built-in SD slot, which is pretty cool.
Finally, the X-Mini Max II: what a disapointment, horrible sound quality compared to the rest, especially the lower frequencies. Very tinny and distorts more than the others. Cross this one off your list.

5You'll Rock Around The Clock  Oct 30, 2010 By Billman
This tiny thing arrived just before our last trip to Reno and it wound up getting put through the wringer. When we arrived in the room, I unpacked it, plugged it in to my Blackberry and started rockin'. It was that simple. No batteries required. ALL of the music I played, like Zeppelin, Santana, Black Sabbath, etc came through CRYSTAL clear and so loud the neighbors were pounding on the wall. That's no B.S. I also love the Blues, and all of that sounded fine also, the guitars, drums, vocals and bass all come through. The secret to getting full bass reproduction is to place the speaker on top of a table or dresser with a thin top so the vibration causes a bass amplification.
For the price, this one little speaker will provide totally realistic sound reproduction without ANY buzz or static sounds, and it fits in your pants pocket. Unbelievable.
