    True Thunderbolt Speeds!

    Love that I can get the most out of my external SSD’s and thunderbolt 4 accessories!

    If it had an Ethernet port this would be all I needed to have a full desktop “docking” point for my MacBook Pro 16”

The Type-A USB 3.2 Gen 2 data port on the Thunderbolt 4 Slim Hub Pro supports data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps.

The Thunderbolt 4 downstream ports on the Thunderbolt 4 Slim Hub Pro support the following display configurations:

(2x) 4K at 60Hz
(1x) 8K at 30Hz
(1x) 6K on Mac

Display Stream Compression (DSC) is a technology that compresses video signals to reduce the amount of data transmitted, allowing for higher resolutions and refresh rates over the same bandwidth. It was introduced with DisplayPort 1.4.

The Satechi Thunderbolt 4 Slim Hub does not support DSC because its ports only support DisplayPort (DP) 1.2.

The USB 3.2 Gen 2 Data port (10gbps) will support around 10W while the Thunderbolt 4 Ports will support 15W for charging. While these ports are capable of charging smaller devices at a slightly slower rate, these ports were mainly designed for data transfer (via flash drives, external hard drives)

Unfortunately, the Apple SuperDrive is not compatible with the Thunderbolt 4 Slim Hub. You would need to use one of the following adapters and directly connect it to your computer to use the SuperDrive:
