The dock features a compact 5 × 5 × 2 inch design and uses industry-grade aluminum for durability and heat dissipation.

The dock supports M.2 NVMe SSDs in the following sizes: 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280.It can accommodate SSD capacities up to 8TB. The dock supports read/write speeds up to 6000MB/s, depending on the SSD installed.

It depends on your Apple Silicon processor:
M1 / M2 base models: Support only one external display natively.
M3 base model: Supports dual displays only in clamshell mode (laptop lid closed).
M1 Pro/Max/Ultra, M2 Pro/Max/Ultra, M3 Pro/Max/Ultra, M4/M4 Pro/M4 Max: Support dual external displays.

The dock supports up to 6K at 60Hz (6K/60Hz) on each Thunderbolt 5 (TBT5) port when the Mac is capable of driving it.
Windows Video Output Support

The dock includes an internal fan that activates only when necessary. It remains cool during standard use and increases cooling under heavy workloads to sustain performance. Fan noise ranges from 20–40 dB(A).

    Loving the TB5 dock. One of the biggest reasons that I chose this dock is to get the 6000M/sec speeds from my NVME SSD. I am seeing approx 5700W/5900R with the WD 850X 4TB SSD. I am seeing better read/write results over TB5 than I am seeing from the built in SSD on my M4 Pro MacBook Pro.

    Switched from the Anker TB5 dock to this one. Having a built in NVME slot allows me to use the extra downstream port for a 10gig NIC. Only giving it one less star because of the fan. It's not loud, but it's not super quiet either. I've started turning the dock off when I sleep so that I don't hear it anymore, something I never did with the Anker one. If you don't use this dock in your bedroom then it's probably a 5 star for you.
